  • Invisalign braces are not suitable for my case. Is this true?
    Many years of hard work since its inception in 1997, numerous innovations since 2009, and millions of patients treated with Invisalign today are proof that almost every case can be treated with Invisalign today. With a greater degree of convenience and in less time, without frequent visits to the clinic. Of course, it is advisable to entrust yourself to an experienced specialist. MUDr. Jana Fendrychová is a certified EUMAA (European Master of Aligners). She has undergone a long and rigorous European Master Course for orthodontic treatment with the Invisalign system in London, led by leading provider and trainer Dr. Raman Aulakh. She actively participates in several Invisalign-specific conferences each year. So put your fears aside. Invisalign is also the right type of appliance for you to treat crooked teeth and the path to a perfect smile.
  • What if I want traditional braces instead?
    Treatment with conventional braces can be associated with more unpleasant sensations at the beginning of treatment. This is because they are composed of wires, locks and other small components that are more susceptible to mechanical loosening. They may initially irritate the surrounding tissues unpleasantly. Therefore, emergency visits may become more frequent when a part of the brace becomes loose and the need for repair arises. However, traditional braces do not need to be removed and are cheaper, so you don't have to worry about anything except brushing your teeth and biting down carefully when eating hard food. Invisalign braces should be worn for the recommended amount of time, 22 hours a day, and not removed unnecessarily. They should be removed before eating and drinking all beverages except water. If the possibility of removing the braces is essential for you for your profession, your place of residence outside the Czech Republic or frequent stay abroad, we recommend them with all ten.
  • How long does Invisalign treatment take?
    It's up to you and us. We will plan and guide your treatment. We need your cooperation in following the treatment regimen, which includes wearing braces 22 hours a day. We can estimate the expected treatment time in advance thanks to our own experience and our connection with the possibilities of the digital world of iTero® technology. Each Invisalign treatment is individually planned to achieve the best functional and aesthetic results. We carefully plan how fast and in what direction your teeth will move and how you will look after treatment. On average, Invisalign treatment lasts 4 months to 3 years. It really depends on the complexity of the case, the patient's cooperation and, accordingly, the type of Invisalign system used.
  • How does an Invisalign patient feel?
    Aligners look similar to teeth whitening splints. Clear, light and flexible. However, in terms of properties, they are made of a completely different material, which is designed to make precise and close contact with the surface of the teeth and control their correct movement during treatment. Most patients feel a slight pressure during treatment, tooth sensitivity and are surprised at how quickly the teeth adapt. With each new aligner, which patients usually change every week, there is a temporary feeling of discomfort - pressure - but this quickly disappears. What is gratifying is that patients themselves feel that Invisalign is really working and the teeth are reaching the desired position.
  • Will I have my teeth impressed before treatment?
    They won't. We have invested in the iTero® digital 3D scanner developed specifically for Invisalign. So don't worry about the discomfort and taste of plasticine in your mouth. We will make all the necessary preparations before treatment using digital technology.
  • How should I eat with Invisalign?
    You take them off your teeth and eat.
  • How should I drink with Invisalign?
    You can also drink water with aligners on. Otherwise, take them off and enjoy your favourite drink.
  • How do I clean my Invisalign aligners?
    A very simple routine that only requires a toothbrush and soapy water. However, special cleansing crystals can also be purchased. We will teach you how to do it before you start the treatment.
  • Can I be treated with Invisalign during pregnancy?
    Most patients can undergo orthodontic treatment during pregnancy. However, the best resource to discuss the plan is the doctor for a consultation.
  • Can I treat my children with Invisalign?
    Absolutely yes! However, it's best to discuss your Invisalign First® options in person during a consultation.
